Vet Specialized in caring At Home Pet Euthanasia
About Me
My name is Lucia. I am an independent Veterinary Surgeon registered with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS number 6412205), with over 15 years of experience working in small animal practice across the UK.
I am the veterinary surgeon and founder of Sunny Mobile Vets, an established home euthanasia service created to offer compassionate, unhurried support for pets and their families at the end of a pet’s life. Throughout my career as a GP vet, I have supported many families through one of the most difficult decisions they will ever face, and I felt strongly that this final stage of a pet’s life deserves time, kindness and dignity.
If you are considering euthanasia for your pet and are unsure whether the time is right, you are very welcome to contact me. When you call Sunny Mobile Vets, you will always reach me; there is no call centre and no receptionist, just me on the other end of the line. Please feel free to ask any questions. I am happy to talk things through and guide you with honesty and compassion.
Our Mission
Our mission is to ensure that every pet's final moments are peaceful, dignified and free from suffering, surrounded by the people who love them:
- A vet from the first call: From your first call, you will speak directly with a RCVS registered veterinary surgeon. We can answer your questions, explain your options and help you make the decision that feels right for your pet, without pressure.
- Experienced in home euthanasia: The vet who comes to your home will be a senior veterinary surgeon with extensive experience in home euthanasia, helping families through this difficult moment with knowledge, compassion and understanding.
- Trusted by other families: We work with just a few vets, carefully selected because we know and trust them, and whose work has been positively reviewed by other families.
- A peaceful goodbye at home: We believe that saying goodbye in familiar surroundings can be one of the most respectful gifts you can give your companion. Your pet can remain in the place they know and love, while family and friends can be together and say goodbye in their own way.
- Professional and gentle: We use veterinary protocols appropriate for home euthanasia, with sedation followed by the final injection, to help make your pet’s final moments as calm and peaceful as possible.
- Understanding every family is different: We know that everyone grieves differently. We listen, take the time you need and respect your wishes, your family and the way you want to say goodbye.
- Personal and transparent: We are a small independent business, keeping our service personal and our pricing clear.

"When it became apparent that Ted, our 9 year old Miniature Schnauzer was nearing the end of his life due to his liver disease, I did some research on 'at home euthanasia' as Ted was so anxious when visiting his local veterinary surgery and found Sunny Mobile Vets on the internet. I called Lucia and she was so very helpful and kind over the telephone, taking time to answer all of my questions and I immediately knew that she was the lady we would use to help Ted over the rainbow bridge. We booked an appointment for Ted to give us time to make some memories with him before his final journey. On the day, Lucia was very gentle, kind and caring. She took the procedure at our pace and very gently guided us through the experience. Ted passed away very peacefully and we carried him out to her car and placed him in a comfy bed wrapped in his blanket from home. The whole experience, although one of the hardest decisions we have ever had to make, was made so much easier with the kindness and compassion shown by Lucia. Thank you, we will be ever grateful."
"Thank you so much Lucia , you made everything easier with your calmness and kindness and professionalism . RIP tinker and Charlie ."
"I don't usually write reviews but where credit is due i feel I need for others to see my review. Sunny Mobile Vets is absolutely phenomenal. My 13 year old boy was on palliative care so we needed to make that horrible decision. From the moment I had spoken to Lucia, everything I wanted to happen was made possible. Theo helped my boy pass over to the rainbow bridge and he was the most loveliest, caring man to do it, Roscoe went so peacefully and happy surrounded by everyone who loved him. He was happy to have fuss from Theo too which made me feel that little bit happier knowing that he was happy & made to feel special. I would 100% use their services again. No words will ever be enough for how lovely this company is. 🤍"
"I can not thank Lucia enough for her kindness in helping me do the unthinkable for me and my 20 year old pet cat Emily. She was calming, kind and loving all at the same time as being professional. She explained each step and never rushed me. She made the unbearable bearable and I can't thank her enough."
"A lovely service. Lucia came to our home to help say goodbye to our Bella who unfortunately was battling lymphoma. Bella went very down hill within a matter of days it was very hard to say goodbye to her after spending 15 years with her. Lucia came in and took her time with Bella we wasn't made to feel rushed. It's almost as though Bella know it was her time the sun was shining she had many come to visit throughout the day. She laid down under the pear tree shortly after Lucia arrived. Her presence was calming and just what we needed as a family and what Bella deserved rather than taking into a clinical setting. We also shared a beautiful moment we had baby wrens nesting in the porch that were due to fledge the nest at any time. As Bella was being put to sleep they made their appearance and were exploring the garden around us. It gave us a little comfort in when one life ends another begins. I have had animals put to sleep before in clinical settings and I must say although this was one of the hardest it was something that was also special. Bella got to pass in the comfort of her own home in the garden on a warm summers day with nature around her and it was peaceful. I couldn't recommend enough doing this for your pet in their final days. Thank you Lucia for helping Bella pass over the rainbow bridge peacefully and with dignity."
"We cannot thank Lucia at Sunny Mobile Vets enough for the kindness and compassion she showed us and Luna during one of the hardest moments we have ever had to face. Luna was so much more than a dog, she was a member of our family, and she was loved so deeply. She was also a very anxious rescue who absolutely hated going to the vets, so when the time came to say goodbye, we knew that taking her into a clinic would have been incredibly distressing for her. Choosing to have her put to sleep at home was one of the best decisions we could have made. From the moment we booked, Lucia made everything feel as calm and manageable as possible. She provided us with a really thorough document beforehand and made sure we had all the information we needed, answering every question and query we had. She explained everything to us throughout the process, so we always knew what was happening. Most importantly, Lucia was so calm and gentle with Luna. She made her feel safe and comfortable, and gave her the most peaceful passing we could have ever asked for. Our incredibly anxious girl, who had spent so much of her life being frightened at the vets, felt no fear in her final moments. That is all we could have asked for. Luna was able to pass away peacefully, at home, surrounded by her whole family, feeling safe, loved and comfortable. She was given the loving and dignified goodbye she deserved. We will never be able to thank you enough for how you handled such an incredibly sad situation and for giving us such a beautiful final moment with Luna. I honestly cannot recommend Sunny Mobile Vets enough. We will always be grateful that Luna's final moments were peaceful, loving and completely free from fear."
"When we had made the hard decision to have to say goodbye to our lovely Kenzie, we were so glad we found Lucia. She was a very caring and calm vet. We felt informed and unrushed. She made an incredibly difficult day that little bit easier. We are thankful for the kindness shown to us all and to give Kenzie a dignified passing in the comfort of our own home."
"I am more than happy to leave a review for Sunny Mobile vets and their wonderful Lucia. My little poodle was 15 and I'd kept him going for a long time in spite of several old age issues. However, I'd realised that 'the dreaded decision' was looming and then, the day when I just knew that he was ready to go. A friend recommended Sunny Mobile as my little boy was staying in his home for his farewell. Lucia came to us on a Sunday and my little Fergie had been asleep in his bed all morning. When Lucia came in, the first thing she did was to get down beside him on the floor and stroke him gently. We sat together while she explained everything. Fergie wasn't disturbed at all and drifted away as I stroked and talked to him. Other reviewers have called Lucia an angel and one definitely came in to our house that day. My other 2 poodles then came in and said their goodbyes. When we were ready I carried Fergie in his bed to Lucia's car where she had a big quilt laid out ready for him. Everything else was arranged and Fergie would be individually cremated and returned to us. It is that time that all pet owners dread but for us humans this was a lovely way to say goodbye and worth every penny. The last loving thing I could do for my little boy."
