"I cannot thank Lucia enough for the compassion, honesty and dignity she gave both Soda and me during the hardest moment of my life as a cat parent. On the phone, she was gentle but honest about Soda’s condition and reassured me that helping him cross the rainbow bridge was the most humane and loving decision. When Soda deteriorated more quickly than expected, she came sooner than our planned appointment without hesitation. When she arrived, she sat with me calmly and explained everything carefully. She never rushed the process. Instead, she listened while I spoke through my tears about rescuing Soda when he was four years old, and about the deep trust and bond we built over the following thirteen years together. After the sedation, she performed a thorough examination and gently explained that his gums were extremely pale, confirming how seriously his condition had deteriorated. Even in that heartbreaking moment, her kindness helped me understand that I was making the right decision for him. After the final injection, she gave me all the time I needed to hold him, smell him and say goodbye properly. She then wrapped him so gently and took him into her care, where a little cat bed was already waiting for him. She also arranged his cremation, and now Soda is back home with me. Lucia helped carry the weight of what is every cat parent’s worst nightmare. I will always be grateful for the dignity, empathy and peace she brought to Soda’s final moments."
